How to Unblock a Sink Drain
Boil Water – Pour boiling water down the drain to break down grease and soap buildup.
Use a Plunger – Cover the overflow hole, then plunge vigorously.
Try Baking Soda and Vinegar OR over the counter drain cleaners – Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda followed by 1 cup of vinegar. Wait 15 minutes, then flush with hot water, or simply follow instructions on package
Check the Trap – If the blockage persists, remove and clean the U-bend trap under the sink.
Use a Drain Snake – If the blockage is deep, a flexible drain snake may help break it up.
